GETTING READY FOR THE OLYMPICS
France, 2012.
The Olympic Games are the greatest competition for most of the athletes.
Ines Boubakri, a Tunisian fencer is one of them. She came in France to train, in order to find better facilities than in her country.
But after few years in France, the French Federation of Fencing stopped to help foreign athletes.
Indeed, while the Olympic Games where getting closer, the federation realized that they were a threat for french athletes.
Ines Boubakri had to adapt, by changing suddenly her physiotherapist, by going back to her first training club, the AS Bourg-la-Reine, where the sport facilities are not as good as at INSEP. But the most difficult part is that her coach, Yann Detienne, an employee of the federation, is not allowed to go with her in London during the Olympics.
Also, the Tunisian Federation doesn’t provide any help. Ines Boubakri has to organize herself her trip to London.
Ines Boubakri is facing this situation while getting ready for the Olympics and dreaming of the gold medal.
