A POLISH PASSION
Poland, 2016.
Every year, during the Good Friday, in the sanctuary of Kalwaria, Polish catholics organize the biggest Passion of the Christ of the country.
Located in South-West of Poland, this sanctuary is called after de latin word « calvaria » meaning Calvary.
Eastern is the most important holiday in the Christian world. It celebrates Jesus Christ’s resurrection after his crucifixion.
Poland, is the country where the rate of catholic people is the highest in the world (90%).
The Passion of the Christ is a costumed procession which is showing all the steps of the Way of the Cross.
The scenes are staged by students and graduates of the Bernadine Theological Seminar and lay pilgrims from various parts of Poland, who impersonate people living 2000 years ago.
